SMACK EVENTS INFORMATION

Co-ed Volleyball on the Beach League is back on Tuesday, May 20th, 2008
Hermosa Beach 4-Person Coed VB League - Tuesdays. Next season will start up again on Tuesday, May 20th, 2008. Games will be north of the Hermosa Beach pier and will be played from 6-8pm. Format is best 2 out of 3 each evening, then playoffs at the end of the session! Registration must be made at the Community Center at 710 Pier Ave. in Hermosa Beach prior to Monday, May 19th. Register early as this league will sell out due to our cap of 40 teams Individuals must contact us to be placed on a team for registration.

Semi-competitive play - all levels of players.
* Must have 2 guys and 2 girls
* Each team must play best out of 3 games to 21 - Win by 2
* Teams must rotate players
* Girl must touch ball at least once, unless accidentally hit over on 1 or 2
* Side change one time - when a team reaches 11 points
Cost: $225 per team plus $5 per non-HB resident

15TH Annual Smackfest Coed Volleyball Tourney – Sat., July 26
- signups will begin 6/1, and that for the 70’s open the date has been changed to 9/27 and signups will start 9/1.

Smack Events and Parties for 2008

All Tues VB League and Thursday VB Class post parties will be at Sangria till Sharkeez opens

Thurs 6/5 – AVP Hermosa Open Preparty – guest bartending – The Shore - 9pm

Sun 6/9 – 8th Annual AVP Champs party – Sangria 6pm on.

Thurs. 7/24 – 14th Annual Smackfest preparty – Sharkeez for guest bartending – 8pm on.

Sat. 7/26 – 14th Annual Smackfest – 600 participants – happy hour at Sharkeez all day, then party at Sangria from 830pm on. Presented by bud Light

Thurs 7/31 – Six Man preparty - Sharkeez from 7-9, then The Shore. Guest bartending

Sunday 8/3 – Six Man post party at Sangria. 6pm on.

Sunday 9/21 – 8th annual AVP Manh open champs party – Sangria from 6pm on.

Sat. 9/27 – 70’s Open VB tournament – Happy Hour from 3-8 at Sharkeez, then Sangria 830

Sat. 11/15 – 14th Annual Smackbowl held with PM. Happy hour from 3-8 at Sharkeez
