ALBERT HANNEMANN, pro beach volleyball
A short interview with 2002 Hermosa Open champ, Albert Hannemann
Last person who called: My best friend Jason Olive, who is a model and an actor on All My Children. We played together at Hawaii. He wants to help out
with my business, volleyballvacations.com -- he thinks the soap opera angle will get us more pub.
Next tattoo: I'm going to Nuulii, my village in Samoa, to get a traditional tattoo with my daughter Maia's name in the middle. It's a skinny
hibiscus-style band that shows Samoan pride. I think Junior Seau and Marques Tuiasosopo have them.
Favorite move of all time: I'm a big Tombstone fan, and I love an old-school gang movie like The Warriors. It wasn't about the money back then, it was
all street, all territory. Pure gangster.
Untapped talent: Eating with my toes. There are two types of toes, the ones that spread out and the ones that move up and down. I have the flexible long
toes. I could eat spaghetti, a banana, or licorice with my toes -- I could even do cereal if it's bigger than Cheerios.
Skeleton in my closet: Three wigs I use for emergency costumes: a giant 'fro, a yellow 'fro and a long rock-star one. I bust out the Neil Diamond
shiny suits only when I really want to bring it.
Video game that's got you hooked: I was an Asteroids freak in middle school. But I quit in high school when I discovered girls and realized it wasn't
that cool anymore.
