Huge weekend Recap April 20-22
What a weekend !! Whew, glad we are off next weekend. Here’s a rundown of what all happened !!
Rustbelt Challenge – Geoff our Sales Manager has the Smack Photo Booth at the Watson and Tressle Center on the Youngstown State with over 100 teams at the Rustbelt Challenge. It was a great event, with over 60 teams coming by and taking team pics. Also dozens of coaches and directors stopped by for free Smack t’s and to check out all our beach and indoor volleyball apparel. One lucky girl from Pittsburgh elite VBC won the Smack pack, and lots of kids walked away with free pics. To view all the pics from the Smack Photo Booth CLICK HERE
Florida Volleyball Challenge – As the Official Apparel of the Florida Region Beach program, Smack had the opportunity to setup our booth with tons of samples, giveaways and more inside the Orange County Convention Center for the huge regional event with hundreds of teams from Florida. The top teams from this USA Volleyball event wins a bid to the Junior National Championships in Detroit. We had over 40 coaches/directors stop by our booth to view all our sublimated jerseys, warmups, sublimated bikinis and more for both indoor and beach volleyball. Congrats to Winter Park VBC for winning $1000 of FREE Smack team apparel also. Also of note, Our Florida Acctg Mgr Christina Alessi-Matthews also attended the awards dinner on Sat. night and handed out 2 scholarships on Smack’s behalf to amazing young athletes. AND long time Smack Sponsored club NVL Volleyball Academy won the 17’s division and a bid to Nationals!! Check our Facebook and IG pages for pics.
Norceca, Lloy Ball Classic, Smack Challenge, and Fudpuckers
The weekend wasnt done with those events above … not even close. Team Smack, K/im Smith and Kenzie Ponnet battled to another finals at the Norceca event – last weekend they won the gold in their Smack bikinis … this weekend was amazing as well, losing in a tight match in the finals. Silver is amazing though as this young team gets ready for the AVP Huntinton Beach.
The 6th Annual Lloy Ball Classic was held at Lloy Ball’s new facility, the Ball Sports Academy. As always, it was a great event with all levels competing. 20 teams looiking to win the coveted Smack Championship t’s 🙂 See below and on our IG/FB pages for more pics.
Long time Smack sponsored club Spirit Volleyball Club in Elyria, OH hosted the Smack Challenge Series event where Black Swamp VBC and Spirit VBC took home the Smack Champioponship t’s. This was our first year with this series – we look forward to hosting more event with our amazing partner Tony Tahan next season.
Lastly Derek Zimmerman and 2 time Olympian Josh Binstock sported our boardies and gear at the Fudpuckers tournament in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Fudpuckers has been one of the best attended, enjoyable events on the east/south coast for a long time. Our womans team, with long time Smack customer Megan Allen/Emerald Coast Volleyball Club, wore Smack’s custom bikinis – the Racerback Bikini top and Scoop bottoms. These girls have won the tournament for as long as we can remember!
