Smack Midwest Power Series Recap
Dozens of teams kicked off their club volleyball seasons this weekend in the first event of the Smack Midwest Power Series. Held in Indiana, the tournament featured high-level compeition for teams ages 12s-18s.

Empowered Volleyball Academy came away from the tournament with an impressive finish–champions in each division ages 14-18! Way to set a tone for the season, ladies. Plus, Empowered 14 Elite Red had a sweet pose in their championship Smack Sportswear t-shirts.

Director of Team Pineapple VBC and 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist, Lloy Ball, felt postive about his teams’ performances at the tournament. He said, “Overall, it was a good weekend. Lots to work on this week. The game comes down to passing and serving. This will be a big focus as we prepare for MLK.”

Indy Juniors, NIVA Juniors, EpicUnited Volleyball, and Legends Volleyball also battled through the tough competition. More importantly, they got experience and worked on the team chemistry that they will need throughout the season!
